Environmental Expo & Marketplace

"Three generations of our family along with friends had a fabulous time at Rolling on the River. We can't say enough. . .the routes were clearly marked, rest stops stocked with fruit, cookies, energy bars, drinks, music and friendly volunteers. We left the rest stops refreshed and looking forward to what was over the next hill. " - Gail Record

After the ride, relax and celebrate with us! We'll treat you to a hearty meal, music, roundtable talks on environmental topics, Environmental Expo & Marketplace and other family-friendly outdoor activities.

The Rolling on the River 2008 Environmental Expo & Marketplace will include family friendly activities as well as vendors and non-profit booths.

Interactive Activity by Ten Thousand Villages

Ten Thousand VillagesTen Thousand Villages provides vital, fair income to Third World people by marketing their handicrafts and telling their stories in North America. Started as a nonprofit program of MCC, today’s Ten Thousand Villages is one of the oldest and largest fair trade organizations in the world.

Fair trade organizations connect consumers in North America, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand to unemployed and underemployed artisans and farmers in developing countries through fair trade relationships – benefiting people, rather than maximizing their own profits. The artisans’ income helps pay for food, education, health care and housing. http://www.tenthousandvillages.com
